CollabDAWg is a small, growing family of VST3 plugins for producers who work together
remotely — screen sharing and control, CDN streaming, and project version sanity checks,
without ever leaving your session.
Early days. CollabDAWg is actively in development — expect rough edges, and expect
things to change. Once it's stable, all CollabDAWg plugins are planned to be released as
donationware: free to use, with an optional tip mainly to help cover server costs.
The plugins
CollabDAWg — Join
Screen share and remote control, straight from the browser.
In development
Join turns your DAW into a shared room. Share a link and a PIN, and a collaborator can
watch your screen — and, if you let them, take the wheel: mouse, keyboard, even MIDI
input, all over a direct peer-to-peer connection. On their end, all they need is a
browser — nothing more. No account, no install.
All a collaborator needs is a browser — no account, no install, nothing else
Peer-to-peer WebRTC video and audio, with automatic relay fallback for strict NATs
Full remote control — mouse, keyboard, MIDI — with a one-click master on/off switch
Shift+Esc panic hotkey instantly takes control back, from anywhere, even without focus
Multiple viewers per session, each shown live on your screen while they're watching
Collapsed view — one link, one PIN, ready to share.Expanded view with stream settings and live connection stats.Running inside REAPER — just another plugin on the master track.
CollabDAWg — Share
One-click streaming to your CDN.
In development
A lighter, streaming-only sibling of Join — get your session out to a CDN (think
Twitch-style or your own RTMP endpoint) without the remote-control layer.
CollabDAWg — Check
Know whose project version is the current one.
TBA
For teams passing the same project file back and forth — Check keeps everyone honest
about which copy is actually the latest, so nobody loses work to a stale bounce. Details
coming later.
